Why I chose a

Home-Based Business

In 2010, I was violently attacked and spent 10 days in trauma ICU. That may seem like a strange way to introduce myself and why I choose to run a home-based business, but this incident is part of who I am today.

Instead of diminishing me, the trauma I experienced has become part of my testimony, and I am a stronger and more driven person as a result.

As a marketing specialist and the Chief Elegance Officer of Youthful Elegance, my goal is to make a positive impact in the world. The best way I know how to do this is by helping people look and feel younger, while also empowering them to unleash their potential and live the lives they dream of living.

As the busy Mom of two small children, I appreciate how difficult it is to juggle the demands of motherhood with a satisfying, growing career. This is one of the truly wonderful things about Youthful Elegance – as a home-based business, it gives me the flexibility to be with my children and help support my family financially, while also developing my own career.

Here are a few things to consider:

Do you want to be a salesperson?

When you start running your own business, you are going to be CEO, FD, Department Manager but most importantly you will be the Sales Rep for your new business. You will need to be able to sell your products and business opportunity. If you are uncomfortable asking people in your network to try out a new product or put their time and money into a business venture, chances are this is a bad idea.

Do you have a solid sales plan?

Consider whether you have friends, family and a network who would buy your product offering from you over and over again. Think about how you would find and keep clients. Can people buy your product somewhere else for less than you are offering it? Is there a competitive product in the market? What makes your offering unique?

What are your income goals?

As with any business venture, you need to understand what you want to earn out of the business and have a good strategy in place to attain these goals. Goals need to be SMART – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-based. If you think starting a home-based business will turn you into a millionaire in a month, you may need to re-look at your income goals.

Can you afford to risk the money and time?

Every business venture has risk attached. You may have small start-up costs but other expenses can occur and add to the bottom line. This could include training and travel costs, website fees, promotional material, costs to host meetings and to buy product. If you decide to borrow money or use your credit card to finance your expenses, you may incur interest charges. Also consider the time demands of the business like attending training, presenting the business opportunity to others, managing paperwork and keeping your clients happy so you receive repeat business from them.

No one can guarantee the amount of money that you can earn from your home based business. The amount of consistent time, effort and energy that you put into your business will drive that number.

Firstly let me state that pyramid schemes are illegal.

Here are some signs that a company is operating as a pyramid scheme:

  • Your income is based mainly on the number of people you recruit and the money that those new recruits are paying to join the company.
  • It does not sell any product or the sale of the products contributes little or nothing on how you earn.
  • You are required to buy a lot of inventory and/or other things you don’t want or need, just to stay in good standing with the company.

Training and mentoring is given to everyone falling into the Youthful Elegance team using digital platforms such as Zoom, email, WhatsApp and other applications.

Every business opportunity takes a little cash to get started. Depending on what your budget allows, we have a business opportunity to suit you.
